Shipping Update for Selected EU Countries

From July 14, 2026, Japan Post will temporarily restrict IOSS shipments to the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, and Portugal.

Buy Me Japan will continue shipping to these destinations. However, the minimum order value will be €150 (without taxes).

Orders of €150 or more are not processed through the IOSS system and will therefore be shipped under DDU terms — Delivered Duty Unpaid.

What This Means for Customers

VAT, customs duties, import fees, and local handling charges are not collected by Buy Me Japan at checkout for these orders.

The recipient will be responsible for paying any applicable charges directly to the customs authority, postal operator, or delivery carrier before or upon delivery.

Orders below €150 cannot currently be shipped to the affected countries through Japan Post.

This is a temporary measure resulting from changes to Japan Post’s IOSS shipping procedures. We will continue monitoring the situation and update our shipping conditions when normal IOSS service becomes available again.
