Shipping Rates

Japan Post Standard shipping rates:

  • United States: US $12
  • Europe: €10
  • Canada: CAD $16
  • Mexico: MXN $200
  • Australia: AUD $17
  • New Zealand: NZD $20
  • Asia: US $12
  • South America: US $15

Local-currency equivalents may apply. Free standard shipping is available on eligible orders of US $150 or €130 or more after discounts. The rate displayed at checkout is final.

We may upgrade your shipping method at no additional cost.

Processing and Delivery

Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days.

Estimated delivery after dispatch:

  • Most destinations: 5–20 days
  • South America: 10–20 days

Customs clearance, local delivery, public holidays and other circumstances outside our control may cause delays.

A tracking number will be emailed after dispatch. Orders weighing more than 2 kg may be divided into separate parcels with different tracking numbers and delivery dates.

Customs and Import Charges

Customers are responsible for taxes, duties and carrier fees not collected at checkout.

  • United States: We collect an estimated 12.5% import charge at checkout. Final charges may vary.
  • European Union: We do not collect EU VAT, customs duties or carrier fees. For consignments of €150 or less, a temporary €3 customs duty may apply to each distinct tariff classification.
  • Other destinations: Import charges are not prepaid unless stated at checkout.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide a complete and accurate address, monitor tracking, respond to customs or carrier requests and collect parcels held for pickup.

Contact order@buymejapan.com immediately if an address correction is needed. We cannot guarantee changes after processing or dispatch.

Delayed or Missing Parcels

If a parcel is delayed, check the tracking and contact the local carrier before emailing order@buymejapan.com.

A parcel may be considered lost after the carrier confirms the loss or 45 days have passed since dispatch. This does not apply when delivery failed because of an incorrect address, unpaid charges, a missed delivery or failure to collect the parcel.

Refused or Unclaimed Parcels

If a parcel is refused, not collected or returned because of an incorrect address or unpaid import charges, any eligible refund will be processed after it returns and is inspected.

Shipping charges, a 10% restocking fee and costs incurred in returning the parcel may be deducted where permitted by law. For orders sent with free shipping, the standard outbound shipping fee may also be deducted.

The restocking fee does not apply to a confirmed Buy Me Japan error or a damaged, defective or incorrect product.
